• Supervise the operations of construction sites from planning to completion.

• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

• Manage and supervise construction workers and subcontractors.

• Coordinate and oversee all work on site.

• Review and monitor project progress for timely completion.

• Resolve issues and delays promptly to maintain schedules.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

• Prepare and submit reports on work progress and budget matters to management.

• Communicate with clients, construction crew, and other stakeholders effectively.

• Identify and implement improvements in construction execution and process efficiency.

• High School Diploma

• Construction Trade School Diploma

• Three years satisfactory work record, in a construction related supervisory position.

• Three or more years’ experience as a construction superintendent with a similar size or larger general contractor.

• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.

• Ability to interpret and read architectural blueprints and design specifications.

• Buildertrend Software experience a plus

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Problem-solving capabilities.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

• Has a complete understanding of all facets of construction.

• Must possess hand-eye coordination to use measuring devices and be able to perform supervisory duties in all parts of the buildings and job site. 

• Must have reached Journey Man or Master level working knowledge of general construction practices, means and methods.

• Can schedule and direct others in the performance of their assigned duties, and be able to spot and correct unsafe conditions and actions. 

• Ability to lift, unaided, 75 pounds

Physical requirements:

• Body Positions: Sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching and stooping.

• Body Movements: Walking, turning, stooping and reaching for and carrying materials, stepping over and around obstacles, climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding

• Body Senses: Must hear well enough to understand oral directions.  Must see to read forms, labels, directions, prints, and specifications.

Mental:

• Mathematics: Must comprehend general mathematical functions to compute dimensions, quantities and sizes of various areas and assemblies.

• Language: Must read and write English at high school level.  Must be able to understand and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.  Understanding and speaking Spanish is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Supervisory labor performed on environmentally uncontrolled sites, required to be outdoors frequently.  Working in and around potentially dangerous construction equipment, and materials.
